      Welcome to TripSit's inaugural harm reduction course. We are thrilled to bring you this comprehensive course, which we have designed with great care and attention to detail.


      As of April 10th, we are currently in the open beta phase, where we are actively seeking feedback from our team members and a select group of external individuals to fine-tune the content and language of the course. We are committed to continuously improving and updating the course, so please be aware that the information presented may change as we refine and polish it.


      It's important to note that completing this course is a requirement for those who wish to join the TripSit team as a Helper. We value the knowledge and skills gained from this course and believe they are essential for anyone looking to assist individuals in the harm reduction community. So, without further ado, let's dive into the world of harm reduction.

      We believe in peer testing and discussion to ensure our information is accurate and relevant. That's why we invite you to share your opinions on our Forums. If many people agree that something needs to be changed, we'll do our best to make it happen.

      Learning Objectives

      This course offers a quick introduction to the world of Tripsitting! It is primarily designed for those who are interested in working with TripSit and is required for anyone who wants to become a TripSit Helper. However, the content is relevant to anyone interested in trip-sitting, including in-person situations. Some of the topics we cover in this course include:

      2. A basic introduction to harm reduction that includes:

        1. Trauma-Informed Care

        2. Stigma

        3. Addiction vs. Dependence and Recovery

      3. A basic introduction to trip-sitting principles, including specifics of trip-sitting online

        1. Optional: Learn how to trip-sit using our Discord bot!

      4. Specific guidelines on how to handle various scenarios
